Multi-Tenant Household Clearinghouse

The dual-currency ledger for shared households.

USD cents and KHR riel run on parallel ledgers with zero conversion guesswork. Track roommate expenses, enforce 10,000 bps split integrity, and settle month-end in the fewest transfers.

System Design

Engineered for shared living math.

Every feature in Tricker exists to eliminate awkward calculations, currency confusion, and untracked household IOUs.

Multi-Tenant

Sovereign Household Rooms

Every household is an isolated room with independent members, rules, currencies, and settlement archives. Join multiple rooms without data bleed.

Feature Architecture
Dual Currency

Zero Conversion Drift

USD cents and KHR riel operate in parallel. No exchange-rate guesswork, no hidden spread losses, and no awkward conversions.

Feature Architecture
Integer Math

10,000 Basis Points Engine

Every bill split is stored and verified in integer basis points. Equal splits, custom weighted shares, or individual ratios must total exactly 10,000 bps.

Feature Architecture
Graph Theory

Minimum-Transfer Settlement

Greedy graph reduction calculates the fewest peer-to-peer payment transfers needed to completely balance all debtors and creditors.

Feature Architecture
Audit Integrity

Immutable Month Closing

Active months accept live additions and edits. Closing freezes entries and finalizes the settlement plan into a permanent audit snapshot.

Feature Architecture
Cron Automation

1st-of-Month Recurring Bills

Automated tasks trigger at 00:00 ICT on the 1st of every month, auto-drafting published entries for rent and recurring utilities with active housemates.

Feature Architecture

Workflow

From first bill to settled month.

No messy shared docs, no spreadsheet formulas to debug, and no group-chat payment squabbles.

01

Open or join a room

Create your household space, activate USD, KHR, or both, and invite roommates via instant link or email.

02

Log bills as they happen

Anyone in the room logs expenses. Pick who paid, select who benefits, and watch the split validate to 100%.

03

Settle in minutes

At month-end, review the directed settlement graph. Make the suggested transfers to clear both ledgers cleanly.

Currency Isolation

Two ledgers.
Zero conversion.

Household finances should never gamble on daily bank or money-changer rates. Tricker stores USD and KHR in separate pipelines with dedicated settlement outputs.

USD stored as integer cents (amount_minor)
KHR stored as native integer riel (no fractions)
Two independent settlement graphs generated side-by-side

Core Principles

Three rules for peace of mind.

01

A room is an island

Entries, categories, members, and historical records stay strictly confined to their room. One account can hold multiple rooms with zero overlap.

02

Shares must equal 100%

All splits compute in integer basis points (10,000 bps). An entry cannot be saved until all roommate shares add up to 10,000 bps exactly.

03

Closing freezes history

Closing a month creates an unalterable financial record. No edits, no deletions, and no retroactive disputes. Only an admin can reopen.
